Reaction of common bean genotypes to plant parasitic nematodes

ABSTRACT Among the efficient strategies to manage plant parasitic nematodes, use of resistant cultivars stands out for being frequently easiest and least expensive approach that can be adopted by farmers. However, common bean, in Brazil, few sources resistance have been identified so far. This study aimed assess reaction 81 bean genotypes most abundant harmful nematode species Brazilian crop fields. Genotypes all tested nematodes were observed: 7 Heterodera glycines, 2 Pratylenchus brachyurus, 15 Meloidogyne incognita 8 M. javanica.
